8 Things you didn't know about me:

Because I was tagged...

1. If I had to pick my favorite "quirk" about myself, it would be the freckle on my second to last toe on my right foot. I think its cute.

2. For the first time since I started babysitting when I was 13 years old, I don't have a job. Saturday was my last day at Roma's and I am not "official" with GBBM until June 24th. I get up, and I feel like I forgetting to do something.

3. Sometimes I wish that I wore glasses. I have always found men who wear glasses very sexy, and I think that glasses actually look good on me. They also make me feel more intelligent.

4. Fighting for social justice is my mission, I'm a very vocal advocate for fair trade (coffee, wages, etc.), I love earth tones and all things natural, but I will never, ever be a vegetarian - even though I feel like it would make more sense with the way I live the rest of my life. I can't help it, but I love a great steak!!

5. This weekend, I went through three cell phones. That makes my total up to six now in less than a year. I broke my first phone on Thanksgiving Day when I was dancing around my kitchen because I didn't screw up the turkey. So, if you called me in the last four or five days, I probably have no idea because one of the cell phones didn't have a working screen. Sorry.

6. I bought Hank a new dog bed last week. I let all the other dogs outside while I introduced Hank to his new, very fluffy bed. He loved it. But when the other dogs came in, they all wanted to sleep on Hank's bed too, and every day, it is a race to the bed when we call out "bedtime!" (It is actually really cute, if any of us say, "Time for bed," they all head for the good bed, and the others curl up around it.) The first night, Luke was serious about taking over the bed as he nosed Sanchez out. I was laughing, and telling Hank to take control of his bed back, "Just sit on Luke, that will make him move." And he did!! Hank sat on Luke's belly, but Luke still wouldn't get up. Very cute! I also realize that most of the time, I talk about my dogs like some people talk about their children.

7. In college, Michelle and I both diagnoised ourselves the Trichotillimania - a nervous habit where you pick your hair (I pick at my eyelashes.) I don't know why I do, I just do.

8. I have two friends, that I consider to be very good friends, women that I love dearly and have some wonderful memories with. They both have babies that I have never met. Sad. It is one of the hard parts about living so far from home. Allison, I will be in Florida in August and can't wait to meet Cody. Squatbean, I will be in Florida in August, wanna bring the Baby Bean to the beach?? Also, by the time I get back from Hong Kong, Asher will be walking and talking!! Crazy.

    It plagues me still...
My doctor asked me what was wrong with my eyebrow and I told him what I did - he said, "Ah! A Trichotillomaniac!" in his Irish accent.
It keeps me humble. That's all that I can say about it. If you find a cure let me know!
