Wow, so when God speaks, there is POWER!! And today I have seen Him moving through history, in silence and with strength! I just finished reading a book for class called Back to Jerusalem which is about the Chinese Christian movement that came out of the underground church and seeks to take the Christian message back to its origin, Jerusalem. I read stories that gave me chills about how powerful God is, when when the outside world has no idea what is going on!! For thirty years we heard nothing about the underground church, and now, that the iron gates have been opened in China, God's faithfulness is spilling out!! Its oozing over every part of China, seeping into the surrounding areas!

The Lord revealed a POWERFUL verse to me, that had me weeping today:

If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. ~ 2 Corinthians 4:3-7

WE are those precious vessels!! The Lord is choosing to work with dirty, messy, unpredictable clay, and mold us into something WORTHY enough to carry His AMAZING message. Holy cow. I just cannot stop weeping at His faithfulness, His unique works and the fact that He wants to use me. Me!? Dirty, scruffy, unpredictable me?

Here I sit, tears in my eyes, sweating, shaking, moved. There is power in history, power in Scripture, power in the Spirit that is moving me to follow His lead. Wow.
